Ideasmyth is looking for an Animations/Graphic Design/Video Editing virtuoso who will oversee the creation of custom social media animations/graphics, retouching photos for media galleries and the Ideasmyth website, and the recording of Ideasmyth events.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing graphics for our website, blog, marketing materials, social media networks, and more
- Brainstorm ideas for videos and graphics to promote the company
- Create storyboards and partake in script writing, planning, and editing for videos
- Generate animated gifs and videos for Ideasmyth and potentially its partners and clients
- Research engaging speaking, interviewing, and viral videos and implement techniques into Ideasmyth content
- Collect and archive Ideasmyth’s current video footage
- Edit videos from Ideasmyth seminars, panel discussions, and events
- Post videos to Ideasmyth YouTube channel and create clips for other social media
- Assist videographer(s) at events and classes
- Collaborate with the Social Media team to enhance posts
Requirements:
- Working knowledge and ownership/subscription to graphic and video/photo editing applications (Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent)
- Some kind of digital portfolio (url links to personal website, social media, blog, YouTube channel, etc.)
- An interest/experience in graphic design (especially for social media and WordPress platforms) is a bonus
- Timeline: Minimum of 3 months (preferred candidates: those wanting 6 months of work experience and graduate students)
- Hours: Ability to commit to 15 to 20 hours per week (office hours: Mon-Thurs 9-2pm)
